The Florida Gators are going dancing in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

They might not like their first dance partner all that much, though.

The Gators received the No. 10 seed in the West Region of the NCAA Tournament bracket from the Selection Committee, as revealed by a CBS broadcast of the selections on Sunday evening, and will play No. 7 Nevada in a first round game.

That game will take place in Des Moines, Iowa, and will be played on Thursday, March 21.

Florida has now made the last three NCAA Tournaments, and will be looking to continue a streak of advancing past the first round under Mike White. The Gators made the Elite Eight in 2017 — thanks in no small part to Chris Chiozza’s Madison Square Miracle — before bowing out against South Carolina, then dropped St. Bonaventure in an opening game in 2018 before falling to Texas Tech in a hard-fought second round game.

Of course, those games all happened with a single digit next to Florida’s name. The Gators’ No. 10 seed in this NCAA Tournament is their first double-digit seed since 2010.
